Richard commenced his career in Accountancy after graduating from University with a BA Hons in Business Studies and Finance. He commenced as a graduate trainee with Hacker Young, a Top 20 practice in Manchester, before continuing his career development in 2 large independent practices in the North West: Ford Campbell and Styles & George. It was here that Richard qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) in 1999. In 2003 Richard left employment to set up his own accountancy, business advisory and financial outsourcing business – Ascendis Group. In 2004, Richard became a member of the FCCA. Ascendis has now grown to consist of 24+ employees in accounts, taxation, financial outsourcing, business finance and financial services.
Richard has a large network of contacts and is a very well respected business advisor who acts for a large number of established, entrepreneurial and fast growing businesses, primarily in the North West, but also throughout the UK. Richard has developed the specialisms & expertise essential for advising entrepreneurial & rapidly expanding owner managed businesses, providing proactive, strategic and commercial financial and business advice. Richard is also experienced in advising on various methods of optimising taxation for both the business and its owners and, where necessary, re-structuring their affairs to assist with the strategic growth of the business.
Richard endeavours to build strong relationships with his clients and strives to be regarded as part of their own business rather than an external advisor.

Anywhere hot and sunny but do love Ibiza. It has everything: beautiful scenery & beaches, fantastic restaurants and beach clubs, a brilliant music scene, great people and a unique laid back & chilled vibe.
Although St Tropez, South of France & Anna Marie Island in Florida come a close second.
Spend the month on holiday with my wife and 3 children with plenty of sun, lounging around, golf, alcohol and nice food.
